About the founder
Background
Greg is an avid software developer with a Bachelor's in Environmental Science and a Masters in Data Science. He became proficient with commercial AERMOD products while working with the Navy's Aircraft Environmental Support Office (AESO).
With standalone AERMOD software we had to buy a license for each computer, resulting in high costs. Sharing data was difficult on corporate networks. We could only do one run at a time on each computer. Runtimes could be slow, even with parallel add-ons.
Building Dispersions
From the beginning at AESO, Greg had an idea that could improve AERMOD could reduce headaches and costs with licensing, make collaboration easier in remote environments, and achieve the fastest runtimes. In early 2025, he set out to build Dispersions.
The cornerstone of the Dispersions vision is to make the software financially accessible to anyone from individual researchers to the largest enterprises.
